HAPPY NEW YEAR!

NEW updates. Note from John: We will not be singing an anthem this Sunday, January 11th. Please join us in the Chancel to lead the congregation in hymns.

Please mark your calendars for our Easter Music workshop, Saturday, January 24th, 9am to 2pm. Lunch will be provided.

Housekeeping notes:

Please note that our special Choir access code has changed. The new code to access the door on the West side by the church office for special events is 7777*.

Please keep the following members of our choir family in your prayers: Please note there are several updates from our January 7th practice.

  • Please pray for John as he recovers from a severe migraine headache.

  • Please pray for Melissa, Kevin and their family. Kevin’s position, along with others was eliminated in a company downsizing that occurred over the holidays. He is working hard searching for a new opportunity. Please let them know if you have any thoughts or connections that you might share. Pray that the right job will come along quickly; one that will allow them to stay in NWA and remain such a valued part of our church family.

  • James shared a heartfelt original poem with us about the debt we owe to God and how we can pay it forward through kindness to others in the New Year. He also shared that he and Cindy had both lost loved ones over the holidays and Cindy’s mother is in hospice. Please pray for their family.

  • Carolyn Pryor has requested prayers for multiple friends of hers who have been recently diagnosed with various types of cancer.

  • Mary Kay is grieving the loss of a nephew who died suddenly from a heart attack. Please pray for comfort for Mary Kay and her nephew’s family.

  • Shirley reminded us to keep praying fervently for our country and our leaders.

  • Please pray for Mercy and her family. Mercy also requested prayers for her friend Linda (Fort Smith) who has been diagnosed with lung cancer.

  • Sandy asked that we continue praying for her brother Steve, who is wrestling with several issues.

  • Ritchie, her brother Bud and their families need our prayers for strength and comfort as his health continues to fail.

  • The Pierce’s ask for continued prayers for 14-year-old Will who is struggling with vision issues related to his brain tumor.
